TrapTrack is a professional fishing and trap-management tool designed to help users record trip information, GPS positions, and equipment activity. • Location Data: Used to record boat position, movement trails, and trap locations while tracking trips. Location access is required for accurate logging, even when the app runs in the background during active trips.
• Trip & Equipment Logs: Information such as trip start/stop times, bunch IDs, catches, and related metadata is stored locally on your device.
• User Account Information (optional): If you register or sync your data with TrapTrack Cloud, basic account details such as name and email are collected to link your data with your account.

3. How We Use the Data

• Displaying live GPS location and trap positions
• Logging and reviewing trip history
• Syncing and backing up your data securely to the TrapTrack Cloud
• Restoring data on a new or replacement device

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing.

4. Data Storage and Security

Data is stored locally on your device and optionally on secure servers operated by Island Logic Solutions Inc. at traptrack.ca. All synced data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Users may delete local or cloud data at any time from within the app or by contacting us.

5. Permissions

• Location Access: Required for GPS tracking.
• File Access (optional): For saving or exporting logs and reports.

Permissions are used only while the app is running and solely for these functions.

6. Children’s Privacy

TrapTrack is intended for professional or licensed fishing use and not directed toward children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Your Rights

• Request a copy of your stored data
• Request correction or deletion of your account data
• Withdraw consent for cloud sync at any time
